Storage for Enduro Riders: The Gravitas Apex Panel

Proper gear management is essential for any enduro rider. While many gear-carrying solutions cater to riders on 450s or larger ADVs, they often fall short for those who prefer the agility of a 150 or 300 on hard enduro terrain or for racers tackling 80-200 mile events. Enter the Gravitas Apex Panel and MOLLE-patterned panels designed to optimize load distribution and enhance your riding experience.

The Apex Panel is a lightweight, durable MOLLE-pattern front panel that replaces your stock number plate or headlight mask. Its versatile design allows for the attachment of lightweight bags, tool rolls, chainsaw or handsaw mounts, light brackets, accessory straps for spare fuel bottles, and just about anything else you can think of. Pair it with our Stack Pack to shift weight off your body and free up space in your vest or hip bag by storing spare parts and tools directly on your bike.

Storage

There’s nothing worse than that sinking "oh-shit" moment when you’re miles from the trailhead, and disaster strikes—like snapping a clutch lever after a fall or getting a pinch flat in the middle of a tricky rock garden. These situations happen to all of us at some point, and the instinct is to carry everything but the kitchen sink. At Gravitas, many of us take a minimalist approach, packing only the essentials—or, on daring days, nothing at all. For most long rides, the basics include water, snacks, a phone, GPS/InReach, a small set of tools, and spare levers.

However, when tackling more technical terrain, that minimal setup leaves little room for error. Items like spare tubes, tire spoons, a pump, a jacket, extra fuel, or a spare shift/brake lever often get left behind at the car. The Apex Panel changes that. With its accessory gear straps, we’re able to carry those "just in case" essentials—like a spare tube, tire tools, an extra wind layer, or even a small fuel can—securely strapped to the panel. Pairing it with the Stack Pack allows us to shift the weight of tools and spare parts off our backpacks or hip bags, letting us ride with greater freedom and comfort, unburdened by unnecessary weight.

 

Lighting

We’ve yet to encounter a stock headlight that truly meets our needs, and frankly, we’ve come to expect little from them. While getting caught in the dark is never ideal, a basic bike light allows you to navigate—albeit with careful and calculated riding. The Apex Panel changes that, giving you the ability to mount better, more reliable lighting options to the front of your bike. Given how quickly stock headlights can be outpaced, integrating third-party lights is almost a necessity.

Pairing your Apex Panel with a dual light setup lets you cut through the darkness, offering broader illumination of your surroundings. Add an amber lens, and you can slice through dense fog or dust, which is especially helpful when you’re tailing another rider. Whether you’re a Baja desert rider charging through wide-open terrain or a technical woods rider venturing deep into dark forests, our lighting options will easily outshine any stock headlight.

Accessories

Since the development of the Apex Panel, we've been focused on creating an integrated chainsaw mount specifically designed for woods riders and trail crews. The mount easily attaches directly to your Apex Panel, allowing you to carry up to a 16-inch chainsaw with ease. When you're done, simply unbolt it from the panel and return to your standard Apex setup. Additional accessories, such as a Silky Saws mount and a spare fuel bottle holder, are also available for added versatility.
